A special friend is rare indeed,
It seems to be a special breed,
Yes! perfect friends are very few,
So lucky I am for having you.


If kisses were water,
I will give you the sea,
If hugs were leaves,
I will give you a tree,
If you love a planet,
I will give you a galaxy,
If friendship is life,
I will give you mine.

Forget about the days when its been cloudy,
but don’t forget your hours in the sun.
Forget about the times you’ve been defeated,
but don’t forget the victories you’ve won.
Forget about mistakes that you can’t change now,
but don’t forget the lessons that you’ve learned.
Forget about misfortunes you encounter,
but don’t forget the times your luck has turned.

To friends of old and friends of new,
who help turn skies of gray to blue.
Many go and come throughout my life,
bring smiles mid heartache and strife.
Friends give me hope and fortitude,
bring comfort within my solitude.
They can see what lies past my pain,
make sure that I will smile again.
